Where it started

The Challenge

Alistair already had what most service businesses spend years trying to earn: real experience, a strong personal story, and 32 five-star Google reviews. But online, none of that came through. His old website felt dated, search visibility was close to zero, and the business did not have a clear system for turning expertise into discovery.

That mattered because people searching for help with sobriety, relationships, mental health, or personal growth were not finding him when they needed him. The problem was not the quality of the work. The problem was that the online presence did not reflect the quality of the work.

Before

Outdated website. No meaningful Google visibility. No content engine. Real expertise hidden behind a digital storefront that did not reflect it.

After 24 days

Page-1 Google rankings, 84 published pages, 16,000+ social views, and a Perplexity citation — all from a standing start.

What we built

The Strategy

We did not treat this like a one-off website refresh. We built a complete visibility system: a new website built to convert, search-led service and location pages, a blog plan built around real demand, and a social publishing engine that turned Alistair's lived experience into steady reach across multiple channels.

  • Rebuilt the website and launched 84 pages across core pages, service pages, location pages, and blog content.
  • Created 7 service pages around Alistair's main offers and 3 location pages for Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Scotland.
  • Built a 48-post blog roadmap focused on the questions and search terms ideal clients already use.
  • Set up measurement so performance could be tracked from launch instead of guessed.
  • Built a mobile-first booking path with clear calls to action for people ready to enquire.
  • Created a 12-week social content plan and delivered the first 4 weeks of platform-ready content.
  • Launched a new TikTok account and repurposed content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

What changed in search

SEO Results

Search moved fast. Within 24 days, The Missing Piece went from being hard to find to showing up for broad coaching terms, local intent terms, and niche recovery-related searches. This was not just branded traffic. It was visibility for the phrases potential clients use before they know who Alistair is.

The standout result was speed. Ranking #1 for terms like lifestyle coaching and lifestyle coach in just 24 days is unusually fast for a newly rebuilt site.

What changed in audience

Social & Content Results

Search built demand capture. Social built audience reach. We turned Alistair's lived experience into short-form videos, quote-led posts, and carousels that felt personal instead of generic — then adapted them for each platform rather than dumping the same post everywhere.

We also built a voice-based production system around Alistair's own speaking style, which made it possible to create more video content without losing the tone that made the content feel real in the first place.

The new search

AI Search Visibility

One of the most interesting early signals came outside traditional Google results. By day 24, Perplexity was already citing The Missing Piece for branded searches, pointing people directly to the homepage, services page, and contact page. That matters because more buyers are now using AI tools as part of how they research businesses before making contact.

Getting cited this early is a sign that the new site was clear, trustworthy, and easy for modern search tools to understand — not just for Google, but for the next wave of search behaviour too.

What it means for your business

Why This Works

This worked because the business already had substance. Alistair had real experience, real reviews, and a real point of view. The problem was visibility, not credibility. Once the website, search strategy, and content system were aligned, the market could finally see what was already there.

That same principle applies well beyond life coaching. If you run a service business and you know you're better than your digital presence makes you look, the opportunity is usually not more hustle — it's a stronger system for being found, trusted, and chosen.

Could this work for your business?

If you have real expertise but weak digital visibility, this is the kind of engine we build.

I had the credibility, the story, and the reviews. What I didn't have was a website that reflected any of it. Within 24 days I went from invisible to ranking #1 for terms my ideal clients are actually searching. The biggest shift wasn't the rankings — it was finally feeling like my online presence matched the work I was doing.
